Journal: Starting a Web 2.0 Company


Munjal Shah, the CEO of Web 2.0 start-up Riya, is writing a series of posts recounting the first two months following the launch of the company’s public beta. Riya offers “face recognition technology [that] automatically tags people in photos so you can search for just
the photo you want. In your albums. In your friends’ albums. In our public albums.”

Yea right! I wish I was there and I was as rich as James...what the heck is his last name, so I could buy the new macbooks and other stuff I don't really need!

Batman the Animated Series II

When I was younger I LOVED this cartoon because the sound was soooo relaxing. I don't know how to explain it but I always get relaxed watching these. I guess because there is alot of silence and ambient sounds as opposed to constant dialogue. YES!

Valley Schwag!

Out here in the Valley (Silicon Valley, that is) we're well known for cookin' up a mean tech company. But our real legacy is our schwag--the t-shirts, ballcaps, notepads, stickers, keychains, and other booty blaring the slogans that create new industries (and sometimes landfill, sorry to say). Until now, these world-class collectibles have only been available to the elite few who make it to conventions and insider parties. Now you can have a little piece of the valley without the $3000 rent and two hour commute. Check it.
