McAfee website launching...Monday.

The past couple weeks have been busy at work. I've been working long/late hours to help get the redesign of McAfee going. There's been a lot of work..dizzy-ifying amounts. The new launch is scheduled for monday, which means I'm working, possibly till late in the night, on Sunday. I'm just glad it's almost launch. I have catipulted my skill set level another notch including XSLT, XML, and JavaScript.

I was responsible for "Threat Center" among other things. Threat Center is the portion of the site that is hit with alot of traffic, especially when a new virus hits the market. It's certainly satisfying for me to finally see my contributions come to life, rather than just on a QA server.

On a side note: what the heck am I doing bloggin? I'm tired. I am listening to the "ghost stories" from the evoca site and its weird. What the hell were they talking about? Why do ghost stories always sound like B.S. when you hear them? I've got a ton of them (REAL ones) but now that I'm older I feel like whenever I tell one people think I'm talking out of my ass.

Since I have to work this Sunday, Sonia and I are going up to Napa Valley on Saturday. PLEASE don't rain. Want to go bike riding aorund the area. AND MOST OF ALL, hit up Chick-Fil-A!!! We are going to take a trip to Fairfield which is somewhere around Napa, or not, for some good chicken sammiches! We must be crazy. Crazy fo' chicken!! Chick-Fil-A chicken sammiches! Wow, I'm starting to get double vision because I am so tired. I can barely read what I'm writing. sleep. now.

New Web 2.0 Company

There has been a resurgence of startups lately with the "boom" of AJAX web technologies. These "smart-ups" are pretty interesting. Here is one located in Savannah, Georgia called Evoca. While visiting it I came across this... my favorite... GHOST STORIES

I haven't even listened to it yet, but ghost stories are always fun (for me) so i thought I'd share. Enjoy. Actually, hopefully I will.

Digital Video: Full Steam Ahead

Video is the hot thing right now. Companies are battling it out to figure out how to best deliver digital video. Apple is rumored to unveil a dedicated ipod video with larger screen, they have a DVR (Tivo Killer) rumored to be in the works, Microsoft is still retarded and trying to figure out how to make a computer small and not crash when you play video.

Last month Cisco joined with Disney and Intel in unveiling MovieBeam, a video-on-demand company that will charge consumers a few dollars to watch any of 100 recently released movies, many in high definition. The MovieBeam service works through a $199 set-top box, made by Linksys (and sold in Best Buy and Sears).

World's Fastest Bodyboard!

I had lunch with my brother today at Quizno's. Over my Black Angus Steak Sandwich we go to talking about bodyboarding. His friend just purchased a beautiful piece of work from Hawaii. It's a fiberglass bodyboard with a thin layer of foam on top and NO leash.

I returned to my desk and checked it out. It's pretty nice! Now I WANT ONE!
