How to make a ring using a coin

This is really neato! However, I remember being told in elementary school that it is illegal to tamper with any currency except for a penny. Is this true? I don't know, but it's pretty cool that I remember something like that from elementary school. I must of liked money even back then! hehe. Maybe this is why at amusement parks they only smash pennies in that machine that stamps their logo and makes it oval shape..

Anyway, check out this link to learn how to make a coin ring..it's actually pretty nice looking.

I love Toughskins jeans!

So i went looking around for toughskins jeans on the internet. Why? Because they popped into my head. Toughskins jeans: are they really tough? are they as tight as skins? what the heck are toughskins jeans?

check it out here!

After researching I found these jeans were like wearing plastic! I can imagine getting cheetos stains all over them, peanut butter & jelly drips, sweaty kid smells, and the smell of iron rich pee from going down the slide at the playground! Just what a groovy 70s kid needed! I think I'll look up far-out pale lime green leisure suits that my older brothers used to wear. Now that will be a real interesting find on the internet...

Adobe to buy Macromedia

I was shocked to see this piece of news Monday morning. Since I am a web designer, I am curious and scared to see how this will affect all the software I use from Adobe and Macromedia.

Google Recruitment Video Review

I found a humorous recruiting video made by Google. It's a big advertisement boasting how "cool" it is to work for Google. They should mention how hard it is to actually get a full time job there. Clearly we see in this video that Sergey Brin (at the end of the spot) is the only one with in front of camera experience.

The beginning is a bit retarded because some random guy wants to get on the camera and the chick talking is like.."what the hell, i'm in the movies..we are making a movie". Um well no this is not a movie. It's an advertisement.

Animated Randomness!

A while ago, a friend sent me this link to a site that has pretty impressive flash animation skills. They are pretty random things, but engaging just the same.

Diets, food, and reality

"The very existence of the diet industry is proof of its ineffectiveness. If there were one safe, effective way to lose weight, then the others would be out of business," says Marilyn Wann, author of Fat! So?

Web standards you can quantify!!

Since starting at McAfee a couple months ago, I've been hard at work converting existing web pages into more accessible, faster loading pages. It looks like the team here is being recognized!
The article states:
Clean, Cutting-edge UI Design Cuts McAfee's Support Calls by 90%

So, how'd McAfee do it? How did they maintain hot sales activity and yet reduce their initial support load by 90 percent?

Two words: user interface.

This was no lucky accident, of course; McAfee made user interface (UI) design a prime directive of ProtectionPilot very early on.

Google Maps includes satellite view!

Finally! I used this feature through mapquest.com in 2001. I remember using the satellite view to see the aftermath of the twin towers tragedy. I checked it out on September 12, 2001, however, at that time, it took a few days to refresh the satellite imagery..I wonder if the refresh rate has improved since then. Anyway, I had been wondering when google maps would use satellite imagery...FINALLY IT IS HERE!
