Check out this interview with Brad Bird on ReadyMade. It's weird seeing somebody you used to work with accepting an Oscar and mingling with celebrities. Now that Brad Bird has had great success with his latest movie "The Incredibles", I wonder if any of my stuff from the Iron Giant is worth anything ;) I'll be posting some original artwork from that movie soon. Some my drawings, some by some of the artists.

After work on the Iron Giant ceased, alot of the employees were out and about looking for new work. I had gone to Warner Bros. TV animation in hopes of landing a Batman cartoon series gig...anyway on my way out I saw Brad Bird going into the building from his car. I remember thinking...jeez even the director is scrambling around for work. After that I have not seen him since. Then low and behold The Incredibles came out and I found out what he is up to. That time I saw him at Warner Bros. Television, he was probably pitching one of his "many" ideas he explains in the interview. This interview makes me wonder what many of the others I have lost touch with are up to. One guy was a CGI artist and I remember thinking..bastard give my your job. Another guy was like 19 years old and doing in-betweening..where's he at? There was a Production Assistant named Justin who was pretty nice..at the Iron Giant Premiere party I found out he got a gig at Dreamworks or something...I wonder if he is doing well now?

Dare to dream. Business 2.0 has a neat little spread about Apple "what ifs". What if ... I got my hands on these! I still don't see anything about adding a STINKING radio to the iPod. In the future, an iPod will make you dinner, but you won't be able to go to the gym and listen to the TV shows they are playing.

I'm down in Orange County visiting my folks, family and friends for the holiday. I had quite the week prior to making it down here. My PC blew up, my car broke down, and we had a power failure at work. I tried not to get too stressed dealing with all the sudden problems that occured. It's nice to see my friends and have a relaxing weekend visiting family and friends. But I am soooo tired because we have been going non-stop.

Looks like McDonald's wants to outsource their drive thru experience. What does that mean? Well, if I order NO damn pickles on my Big Mac and I still get pickles, I can't punch the drive thru person's face.

I had mixed feelings when Brad Bird won the Oscar for his newest animated feature "The Incredibles". I thought it was an awesome movie and he deserved to win. The mixed feelings come when I think that I used to work with him!! That whole industry is awesome...so creative. I miss it at times..okay well often. I run into stories about animation studios and that is when I miss it most. Look how cool this cubicle is!! It looks better than my apartment! What the!!

Bill Gates wants computer users, well, Microsoft users, to have a more enjoyable on-screen reading experience -- so much so that he made improving reading on the screen one of his top five priorities.

Verizon is expensive. They have a crappy selection of phones and they don't understand that not everyone LOVES flip phones. In fact, I hate them. I even went to the lengths of writing a "disatisfied" letter to them. But I was not even acknowledged. They pretended like I didn't even exist. Thanks for your money, next. Well it looks like I'm not the only one that thinks Verizon sucks. As soon as the phone I want from Cingular is available (in April) I'm going back to them.

I was searching the web for news on the new iTunes phone that should come out this year. It turns out it's not coming out until Summer, but I need a new phone now! In my search I came across a scary article regarding my boys. I have been carrying my cell phone in my pocket since 2000. Should I be concerned??

I need more sleep. Do you also get the feeling that there aren't enough hours in a regular day? I have that a lot, too many things still going on in my head that it is hard to wind down and prepare to go to bed. Lately, I have been trying to stop working before 9PM to unwind a little watching the big tube.

There's always the urge to check mail and MSNBC for a last quick look and before you ever realize it's past midnight. There 's just too much living to be done isn't it?

I hate them. You do it to yourself and you want to kick yourself. I sent a large amount of money to my credit card last week. So I went online to check my account and it didn't post! What happened? I'll tell you what happened..I'm an idiot! I accidentally sent it to my last credit card which I had already closed. I called up the company and they are sending a refund check, but it will take 14 days. ouch. why so long? Then the other card charged me a late fee for my dumb mistake. Luckily, they waived the fee for me.

I have to be sure to check my accounts and I get all my money back. I paid another large amount of money to the "correct" credit card but I have twice as much money gone from my savings. That sucks! Oh well, I guess it's good because I am sending the refund check straight back to the right card to pay down the debt further. I'm on my way to a debt-free life! ;)

Design-wise hybrid cars are coming along. This attempt by Lexus is a nice try, however, car manufacturers are still too scared of losing money. This luxury version of the Lexus RX 330 is as close to a "normal" car as it gets. But where it lacks is in power. The 400h has less than the RX 330 and the gas mileage improvement is ONLY approx. 2 mpg. TWO! thats a joke.....why bother...i prefer the passing power. Over and out.

This weekend I was looking for a new phone. I nearly bought the new RAZR phone, but was convinced against it by one of the sales rep. He mentioned it was slow and overpriced which I found to be very true. Apple and Motorola are coming out with a new phone soon. It will have iTunes incorporated in it. This may be the new phone. If so, I'm all over this phone. It's not a flip phone which I LOVE!! i hate flip phones. I guess we'll find out possibly as soon as this week!!

Haven't posted in a while with all the work needed to be done. But to keep my mind sane I read great articles about Brittany Spear's man. What a role model! yeeesh!
