Google Maps includes satellite view!
Finally! I used this feature through mapquest.com in 2001. I remember using the satellite view to see the aftermath of the twin towers tragedy. I checked it out on September 12, 2001, however, at that time, it took a few days to refresh the satellite imagery..I wonder if the refresh rate has improved since then. Anyway, I had been wondering when google maps would use satellite imagery...FINALLY IT IS HERE!

This came out about 6 months ago. Major metropolitan areas are going to get frequently updated sat. images. 1-meter visible level. The coolest part - MLS, the real estate web site, has partnered with keyhole to provide satellite images of all homes that you are looking at buying! So you get a view of the hood right away! It's way cool - I've looked up my house and many other places.
